Introducing a new Sermon Series

Beginning May 31st, Pastor Mike will start a new 7 week series entitled “Where is God?”

Below is Pastor Mike’s intro to the sermon series.

“Our world is confused, unsettled, grieving, angry, and afraid and I am sure that doesn’t adequately describe all of the emotions we’re experiencing as a culture.

Where is God? Or, what is God doing? I’ve heard those questions more than once in the past couple of months, Let’s be honest when we ask that question in a crisis, what we usually want to know is why is God letting me be this uncomfortable?  What did I do to deserve this?  Why are these bad things happening? Why won’t he stop this?

Let me assure you that God is not absent, he’s not asleep on the job and He is active.

Over the next few weeks we’ll explore how the Bible answers two questions, Where is God and what is he doing?  I suspect we will be challenged by the answers and I know that you can find comfort in what God is doing right now.”

We hope that you will join us May 31st at 11:00 a.m. as we begin this sermon series. You can join us at our physical Sunday service on Cemetery St. or you can join us for online worship. Head over to our Connect page for more information.

Resuming physical worship services

In compliance with Gov. Little’s reopening Idaho order, we would like to inform people that we are resuming in person church services. Our services will be operating under caution and will look differently as we move forward.

We are currently not holding Sunday School on Sunday mornings. We will be holding one worship service at 11 a.m. We are following all protocols set out by the state of Idaho for reopening and meeting as a church. We have two entrances, one for our more vulnerable crowd and one for the less vulnerable. We ask that all participants practice social distancing and are encouraged to use hand sanitizer, face masks, and following clearly marked instructions that have been posted in our building.

For our crowd that is unable or not ready to return to a physical service, our online options will remain in place. We invite you to visit our connect page for all of our resources and information.

Thank you! We look forward to worshiping with you in the coming days.

Prayer Drive

We cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be praying for our neighbors right here in the Salmon community. In light of that, we want to introduce you to a new and exciting way to get out into the community and pray! Below, you will find a Prayer Drive Scavenger Hunt and a Prayer Guide.

Yes, it is exactly like it sounds: print both of these documents, hop in your car, drive around town, and pray for key groups of people within our community!

The scavenger hunt will lead you to 10 different locations. Stop and pray at each one, referring to the guide for specific prayer points. Once you have finished praying at a location, put a check in the circle and drive to the next location (you don’t necessarily need to go in order). Continue the scavenger hunt until you have visited and prayed for each location.
We convinced that the Lord wants to do great things in our community! Join us in lifting our neighbors to the Lord in prayer and asking Him how He would like to use us during this time.
